Copyright and DMCA Policy
How to report content on VibeLock that infringes your copyright, how to respond to a report, and how we handle both.
We respect copyright and expect our users to. This policy explains how to send us a notice about content hosted by VibeLock, such as a trust page or a published policy, and how the person who posted it can respond.
1. Sending a notice
If you believe content hosted on the Service infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to act for, email hello@vibelock.ai with the subject line "Copyright notice". Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail, such as the URL, for us to find it.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
An incomplete notice may not be acted on. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
2. What we do with a notice
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material promptly, and we tell the person who posted it, with a copy of the notice where appropriate.
3. Counter notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notice to hello@vibelock.ai with the subject line "Counter notice". Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which VibeLock may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.
We forward a complete counter notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to restrain the activity, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days of receiving the counter notice. Knowingly misrepresenting that material was removed by mistake can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
4. Repeat infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. We treat an account as a repeat infringer when it has been the subject of more than one valid notice that was not answered by a successful counter notice, and we keep a record of the notices we act on.
5. Notices from outside the United States
If you are outside the United States, you may also send a notice about content you believe is unlawful under the law where you are. Tell us what the content is, where it is, why you believe it is unlawful, and how to reach you. We review every notice and tell you what we decided and why.
6. Our own content
The Service, the Vibe Coding Security Checklist and the Vibe Coding Security OS are protected by copyright. If you find a copy being sold or shared in breach of the Digital Products License, tell us at hello@vibelock.ai.
